Welcome to Package Traveler! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Traveler interface on our website. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the Package Traveler website.
- "Traveler" refers to users who offer to carry packages for Senders.
- "Sender" refers to users who request Travelers to carry their packages.
- "User" refers to both Travelers and Senders using the Platform.
2. Registration and Account
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to register and use the Traveler interface. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
- Account Creation: To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Traveler Obligations
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating posts, submitting requests, and completing your profile.
- Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Platform and performing services as a Traveler.
- Prohibited Items: You agree not to transport items that are illegal, hazardous, or otherwise prohibited by law or the Platform's policies.
4. Creating and Managing Posts
- Creating Posts: You can create posts specifying your travel plans, including starting and ending locations, available luggage capacity, journey type (one-way or two-way), and service charges.
- Receiving Requests: Your posts will be visible to Senders who can submit requests for you to carry their packages. You will receive notifications for these requests.
- Accepting Requests: You have the right to review and accept or reject any requests from Senders. Once you accept a request, you agree to complete the service as described in the post.
5. Payment and Escrow
- Service Charges: You will set your service charges when creating a post. Once a Sender's request is approved, the Sender will pay your fee along with the Platform's commission.
- Escrow: The payment will be held in escrow by the Platform until the job is completed and acknowledged by the Sender.
- Payment Release: Upon job completion and Sender's acknowledgment, the Platform will release the payment to you, deducting a certain percentage as a platform commission.
6. Communication and Coordination
- Chat Platform: The Platform provides a chat feature to facilitate communication between Travelers and Senders. You agree to use this feature responsibly and for the sole purpose of coordinating package delivery.
- Privacy: Your identity will remain anonymous to the Sender until a request is accepted. You agree to respect the privacy of other users and not disclose personal information without consent.
7. Job Completion
- Delivery Confirmation: After delivering the package, you must upload relevant information and photos to the Platform and click the "Job Completed" button to notify the Sender.
- Acknowledgment: The Sender will review the delivery and click the "Acknowledgment" button to release the payment to you.
8. Job History
- Records: You will have access to a history of your posts, requests, canceled job requests, and completed jobs. This information helps you track your activities on the Platform.
9. Ratings and Reviews
- Feedback: After completing a job, both Travelers and Senders can rate and review each other. You agree to provide honest and respectful feedback.
- Review Moderation: The Platform reserves the right to moderate and remove inappropriate or fraudulent reviews.
10. Notifications
- Alerts: You will receive notifications for requests, approvals, payments, job completion, and messages. You can manage your notification preferences through your account settings.
11. Termination and Suspension
- Termination by You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting customer support.
- Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activities, or pose a risk to the Platform or its users.
12. Dispute Resolution
- Mediation: In case of disputes between Travelers and Senders, the Platform may provide mediation services to resolve the issue amicably.
- Legal Actions: If disputes cannot be resolved through mediation, both parties agree to resolve the matter through arbitration or small claims court.
13. Limitation of Liability
- No Warranty: The Platform is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information provided on the Platform.
- Limited Liability: In no event shall the Platform be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Package Traveler, its affiliates, and its respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new terms on our website and updating the effective date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Package Traveler operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
